Search must come to an end
All questions spring from your search (seeking, becoming). It doesn't matter what the object of that search is -- God, a beautiful woman or man, a new car. It is all the same search. And that hunger will never be satisfied. Desire breeds more desire. As long as there is a living body, there will be desire. It is natural. The desire to put an end to all desires is a peculiar desire and is the desire of the person seeking liberation. Contentment can only make you happy. Keeping away from all desires and being content with what you get is a pure state of complete acceptance. But this needs a lot of courage and faith. Hunger must burn itself out completely without knowing satisfaction. The thirst you have must burn itself out without being quenched. It dawns on you that this (gratification) is not the way, and it is finished - Search comes to an end. When you stop doing things out of hope, all you do along with it stops. You stay afloat.
